She probably wonders why I chose this, since it’s kind of odd. But I did so because it’s yellow (her favorite color, though not a particularly timeless kitchen color), it survives the toughest of circumstances (her inner strength is an inspiration) and, more than anything else, it makes happy. Just like her.
